Overview

Material handling automation is usually a line-integration problem, not just a conveyor quote.

Strong material handling suppliers need to understand product flow, accumulation, changeover, guarding, robot interfaces, upstream/downstream equipment, and plant layout. The right Chinese supplier depends on whether you need simple transport, intelligent routing, warehouse movement, sorting, pallet handling, or full production line integration.

Systems sourced from China

Conveyors and transfers

Belt, roller, chain, modular, pallet, screw, elevator, turntable, and transfer systems.

AGV and AMR systems

Route design, charging, fleet management, payload fixtures, safety, and warehouse interfaces.

Sorting and buffering

Barcode sortation, diverters, accumulators, reject lanes, buffer tables, and sequencing.

Pallet handling

Pallet conveyors, stretch wrapping, pallet dispensing, depalletizing, and palletizing robot interfaces.

RFQ details suppliers need

  • Product dimensions, weight, orientation, fragility, and SKU range.
  • Line layout, elevation changes, floor constraints, safety zones, and operator access.
  • Throughput, accumulation requirement, stop/start logic, and upstream/downstream interfaces.
  • Controls standards, data exchange, barcode or WMS/MES requirements, and maintenance expectations.
  • FAT requirements for flow rate, jam handling, reject logic, and safety validation.

Supplier validation checks

Ask for installed systems with similar payloads and speed, control cabinet examples, layout drawings, spare parts lists, installation records, and videos showing jam recovery, reject handling, and operator interaction.
